Ed Pajalic

Multilingual Therapist | Holistic Healer | Advocate for Growth & Resilience

We’re thrilled to highlight Edin “Ed” Pajalic, a compassionate and deeply insightful therapist whose holistic and integrative approach to healing has touched lives across continents. With over 22 years of international experience, Ed brings a rich tapestry of cultural understanding, clinical expertise, and personal wisdom to every session.

Therapeutic Approach

At the heart of Ed’s practice is a client-centered, strengths-based, integrative, humanistic, and holistic philosophy. He believes in treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—rather than just symptoms. By weaving together various modalities and techniques, he helps clients uncover root causes, build resilience, and achieve long-term balance.

Areas of Expertise

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, OCD, or life transitions, Ed offers a safe and supportive space for healing. His clinical focus spans a wide range of issues including stress, anger management, relationship challenges, parenting, career counseling, and family conflict.

A Global Perspective

Fluent in English, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, Ed is a multilingual therapist with a global reach. His journey includes working in healthcare and educational institutions across Europe, volunteering in social justice and mental health initiatives, and coaching clients from four continents. He holds a Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a law degree from University of Bihac, Bosnia, along with certifications in life coaching and music education.

Creative & Athletic Integration

As a published poet, musician, and former track and field athlete, Ed brings creativity and movement into therapy. He often incorporates music and art for clients who find healing through expression, and supports athletes in achieving mental wellness and performance goals.

Modalities Used

His therapeutic toolbox includes:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Approaches
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Psychodynamic Therapy
  • Solution-Focused Therapy

Personal Insights

A proud father of two daughters, Ed finds joy in writing poetry (published in six international collections), playing tennis, and exploring music from diverse cultures. One of his proudest life decisions was leaving a legal career to follow his heart into therapy—and moving from Europe to the U.S. to pursue his dreams, with the encouragement of his wife.

What Inspires Him

Surviving war in the former Yugoslavia shaped Ed’s belief in the power of transformation. He sees trauma not as a limitation, but as a gateway to strength, empathy, and deeper human connection. His mission is to help others discover their inner resilience and live life on their own terms.

Self-Care Philosophy

He practices wellness through family time, nature walks, poetry, music, tennis, and regular mental health check-ins with his own therapist—modeling the importance of mental health for all.

Words of Encouragement

“It’s never too late to create change and begin healing. Every person deserves to feel better and discover the strength within themselves.”
