What is Health Coaching?
Health coaching is a relatively new field that focuses on overall well-being. It recognizes that health is influenced by various lifestyle factors that are oftentimes beyond traditional medical treatment such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connections, and risky substances.
Health coaches provide support and encouragement to achieve SMART goals, guiding individuals through challenges and celebrating successes. They help individuals feel empowered to take ownership of their health journey and make lasting changes that align with their values and priorities. In summary, health coaching is a journey towards wellness, taking one step at a time, achieving one goal at a time, and making one meaningful change at a time.
Meet The Health Coach
Rebekah is a board-certified health & wellness coach who specializes in lifestyle medicine. Passionate about wellness education and disease prevention, she believes in supporting people through exploration of values, motivations and barriers. She enjoys developing growth promoting relationships that elicit motivation, increase confidence and facilitates a change process through visioning, creativity, goal setting, and accountability.
Group Coaching Benefits
- Cost Savings. As with group fitness training, individual prices are lower when you join a health coaching group. Since health coaching is not usually covered by insurance, groups can be a cost-effective way for more people to access these services.
- Accountability Partners. Many struggle with making changes on their own. When internal motivation isn’t enough, external accountability from empathetic partners can increase follow-through and accelerate progress towards sustainable results.
- Social Connections. Forming and strengthening positive relationships is not only a fundamental pillar of lifestyle medicine but it can also be fun! Even if you join with a friend or family member, you can expect to make new acquaintances, develop friendships, and be accepted by a community of your peers.
- Collective Wisdom. While the group is led by a certified health coach, each member actively contributes and helps one other. This creates a dynamic and engaging environment where individuals can share their stories while learning from the personal experiences of others.
Health Coaching Is Self-Pay (HSA/FSA Eligible)
$100 total for 90 days of group health coaching
(compared to $420 for 6 hours of individual health coaching)

Program Description:
You will be invited to attend group coaching sessions which are held virtually via Zoom every other Wednesday from 12-1PM and will receive access to group chats via GroupMe for ongoing coaching support in between each session. We will learn how to set SMART goals and how to support ourselves and others.
We start by uncovering values and motivators, creating wellness visions, making long-term goals, and then breaking those down into smaller, short-term goals that can be achieved within a 2-week period.
Along the way, we will explore the following pillars of lifestyle medicine together: nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connections and avoiding risky substances.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does insurance cover health coaching?
Health coaching is not covered by most insurance plans. In many cases though, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) funds may be used for health coaching. Some insurance companies may require a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from a healthcare provider to cover the expense. If needed, your ZoeRVA provider may write one for you.
Do you offer financial assistance?
There is a need-based tiered pricing structure available for group health coaching based on annual income and family size or current insurance coverage (or lack thereof).
Are individual health coaching sessions available?
Yes, 30-minute sessions are $35 and 60-minute sessions are $70. These rates are also subject to a sliding scale based on annual income and family size. Please indicate your interest in individual sessions on the form below.
