Emily Frost RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Emily is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Virginia. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from East Carolina University. She has a decade of nursing experience, primarily in neurology, neuroscience intensive care, and post-surgical care. Her
journey to becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner was inspired by her interest in psychology and her many years working as a bedside nurse and observing how much overlap there is between physical and mental health.
Emily believes in treating the individual as a whole and focuses on all of the factors that play into mental health. She strives to build a trusted therapeutic alliance with each client in order to develop the best evidence-based treatment plan moving forward. Emily is trained to treat individuals across the life span, with a particular interest in working with adult and geriatric populations. Some of her areas of interest include
the treatment of anxiety, depression, mood disorders, OCD, and ADHD.
