Specialized Equipment

Our team will evaluate your overall health, including sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress management, social support, and habits because each of these areas has a strong impact on your metabolic functioning.  We use special metabolic rate testing and may order labs or coordinate care with your primary care provider (PCP).   We use a body composition analyzer to precisely measure each individual segment of your body so we can tailor a plan that considers your unique needs. In collaboration, you will decide on a program you can LIVE with that will help you reach your health goals. As you implement the plan, you have the support of the entire ZoeStyle Team of a doctor, nutritionist, health coach, and therapists.

All recommendations are based on extensive research in Lifestyle Medicine and Obesity Medicine.  FDA approved medications are prescribed when indicated. Frequency of visits and length of program depends on your individual needs.

Our certified professionals are ready to help you make tangible, sustainable changes to your life.

How many appointments do I need?

The number and frequency of appointments is tailored to each patient. However, in the first month or two, you are usually seen more often and the time between appointments is gradually lengthened.

How long is the program?

Most patients experience considerable progress within the first three months of treatment; however, the length of treatment depends on individual health goals and challenges.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your vitals will be taken. The doctor will conduct an extensive evaluation of your total health, including sleep, nutrition, exercise, substance use, relationships, and stress management. Labs may be ordered as necessary, and an EKG may be conducted if indicated.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most commercial insurance as well as Medicare and Medicaid. For questions about your coverage, please contact our office at (804) 303-9622.

Do you prescribe medications?

Yes, we will prescribe FDA-approved medications when medically appropriate. Despite your best efforts, you may still struggle through no fault of your own. Medication may be necessary to help meet your wellness goals and eventually be eliminated when the time is right.

Are you considered primary care providers (PCPs)?
