Stephanie DerHovhannessian, LCSW

Stephanie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. She received her Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and has experience working in acute care, residential, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings.

She enjoys helping people heal as they learn about themselves, navigate change, and restore hope. She has a passion for working with adolescents and adults across the lifespan, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, who are facing various challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, adjusting to acute and chronic illness, and navigating life transitions. She believes building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and respect provides the foundation for growth and progress.

She is trained in and utilizes a variety of approaches and techniques including a strengths-based approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness. She also uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a therapy which helps to begin the process of healing from trauma. She has found EMDR to be a valuable tool that is extremely effective for clients who have experienced traumatic events.

Hannah White RIC

Hannah is an empathetic and driven counselor who helps people of all backgrounds overcome difficulties in their lives. Hannah takes a collaborative approach to empower clients in their daily lives. She utilizes different modalities such as Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy. She is passionate about working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, and other mental illnesses.

Hannah is experienced working in a residential eating disorder facility, psychiatric state hospital, as well as with families in the home. Hannah is a current Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia. She received her master’s degree from Virginia Tech. She is currently supervised by E. Graham Canada III LPC, CSTOP.

Barbara Sneddon LPC

Barbara Sneddon is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years experience working with individuals, couples and families. Barbara has specialized training in Family Systems, Psychodynamic therapy and trauma-informed care and uses a collaborative and compassionate approach to counseling to foster hope, healing and resilience. Barbara has provided support in community, private and school settings and has experience working with anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, relationship and parenting issues, acute and ongoing trauma, peripartum issues, and other life stressors. Sarah Degaraff LCSW, CCTP

Sarah Degaraff is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with 12 years of experience. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Social Work at Longwood University and her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Radford University. Sarah provides confidential and supportive services from a trauma-informed and attachment-based approach, focusing on the whole person, integrating the mind/body/spirit connection. She also teaches mindfulness practices to help bring compassion and presence to each moment. Other modalities Sarah utilizes are play therapy techniques, relational, positive psychology, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Sarah is passionate about helping others become more self-aware in order to practice greater self-acceptance and self-responsibility to lead more fulfilling, and meaningful lives. Dennis Hawley Ph.D, LCSW

Dr. Hawley has over 30 years clinical experience, working with adolescents, adults and senior citizens with a wide variety of challenges to include Post-traumatic Stress Disorders, addictions and affective disorders. He has consulted with organizations in their development, to include US Department of Defense, a number of local law practices and businesses. He has served as Field Faculty for VCU since 1977. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Board Certified Diplomat and a Certified Group Psychotherapist. Dennis was ordained in 1971. He values a pastoral and inclusive perspective in his therapeutic interventions.

Lindsey Bigelow LCSW

Lindsey is a compassionate provider who offers a warm yet direct and collaborative approach. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Trauma Practitioner with a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, she is certified in teaching and providing mindfulness-based techniques. She has 10+ years of experience working in a variety of settings and offers individual counseling while utilizing different approaches to fit your needs.

Lindsey specializes in working with survivors of trauma, as well as adults suffering from anxiety, depression, life transition issues, and ADHD in individual therapy. She also enjoys and has experience working with members of the LGBTQIA community and those who are polyamorous. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, spending time in nature, and watching cinematic adventures (AKA – movies).

Harry Almond LCSW

Harry Almond works with people who are having difficulty coping with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse and many other life issues. He has been trained in a variety of treatment modalities. Mr. Almond tries to match treatment interventions with the needs of each client. He is an active therapist and wants clients who will also be active in their treatment process. He enjoys working with adolescents, adults, couples, and groups. Diane Saady LCSW

Diane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Substance Abuse Professional as is qualified by the Virginia Department of Transportation. Diane works with children, couples, and adults in individual therapy. She specializes in working with families, couples, children, substance abuse issues and addictions. Diane is a certified Hypnotherapist and member of the National Guide of Hypnotists, Inc. Stephen Brown LCSW

Stephen Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of experience in mental health, including research, prevention, psycho-education and direct practice. He works with individuals, couples and families to identify areas of desired growth, process the formation of maladaptive patterns and enact strategies focused on lasting change.

Stephen’s practice is informed by his experience working with diverse populations in inpatient, community-based and outpatient settings.
