Sarah Formica PMHNP-BC

Sarah Formica is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her Bachelor of Nursing from James Madison University and went on to complete her Master of Science in nursing with a concentration in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Sarah worked in nursing on a neurocritical care unit. During this time, she developed an interest in both the neurological and psychological components of illnesses. She then worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in an outpatient setting treating both adults and adolescents prior to joining Zoe Therapy Services. Through working as both a registered nurse and psychiatric nurse practitioner, Sarah has developed an expertise in treating patients with ADHD, depression, and mood disorders.

Sarah has a primary interest in working with both geriatric and adult populations. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Sarah believes prescribing is just one component of a successful treatment plan and will actively encourage counseling, lifestyle modifications, and evidence-based treatment options.

Allison Douglas-Clements MSN, PMHNP-BC

Allison is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her diploma in Nursing from Southside Regional Medical Center’s School of Nursing and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her Master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in December 2021. With more than 20 years of nursing experience, she has worked in a variety of settings including cardiology, ICU, home health, case management, and behavioral health. For the past 15.5 years, she has had the pleasure of working with veterans and active-duty service men and women in an outpatient behavioral health clinic. Now, she is excited to work with patients across the lifespan to support them in creating meaningful change to improve their quality of life.

Allison believes in using a collaborative, holistic approach to care by partnering with her patients to create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to meet their needs. She has witnessed the negative effects that patients endure because of delays in receiving treatment, often due to the negative perceptions associated with mental illness. She is committed to creating a safe space for her patients by offering compassionate, honest communication, and patience.

Kathy Bryant RN, MS, CPNP-PC, FNP-BC

Kathy is a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner, who is qualified to practice in pediatric and family healthcare. She received her Bachelors, Master’s, and Post Master’s degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her work experience includes: inpatient mental health, mother infant unit, pediatric primary care, nursing instructor, preceptor for nurse practitioner students and working in outpatient psychiatry treating adolescents and adults.

Some of her areas of experience include treatment of ADHD, anxiety, depression and mood disorders. Kathy treats clients ranging from pediatric to adulthood. She has a strong interest in supporting mental health with regard to infertility challenges, pregnancy and postpartum. In addition to medication, she believes her clients should also be offered guidance with life style changes, nutrition and counseling services.
