How many appointments do I need?
The number and frequency of appointments is tailored to each patient. However, in the first month or two, you are usually seen more often and the time between appointments is gradually lengthened.
How long is the program?
Most patients experience considerable progress within the first three months of treatment; however, the length of treatment depends on individual health goals and challenges.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your vitals will be taken. The doctor will conduct an extensive evaluation of your total health, including sleep, nutrition, exercise, substance use, relationships, and stress management. Labs may be ordered as necessary, and an EKG may be conducted if indicated.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most commercial insurance as well as Medicare and Medicaid. For questions about your coverage, please contact our office at (804) 303-9622.
Do you prescribe medications?
Yes, we will prescribe FDA-approved medications when medically appropriate. Despite your best efforts, you may still struggle through no fault of your own. Medication may be necessary to help meet your wellness goals and eventually be eliminated when the time is right.
Are you considered primary care providers (PCPs)?
No, but we can follow up with your current PCP and other specialists you may already see to share relevant medical information and progress notes.
